Interconnected by High-Point Utility LDC, in the Highland Falls and West Point, NY areas.

High-Point Utility LDC (HPU) is engaged with US Army Garrison, West Point in collaborating to create shared energy generation and management operations, under the guidance of Sec. 331, "Intergovernmental support Agreements with State and Local Governments."  The areas being addressed include:  Combined Heat & Power (CHP) via natural gas at West Point, Waste Treatment (community & military), Emergency Operations (community & military), a Hydro electric generation plant at Buttermilk Falls in Highland Falls, Wind & Solar throughout both community and military, tie-in to Electric grid, and a Microgrid to coordinate these inputs and demands.
